This was done for a friend I worked with at Intel before she moved away.  She in crazy about Atlanta, GA and she went to Georgia Tech.

I used Georgia Tech’s color as the base, and started by looking at google map satellite images of Atlanta – trying to capture the streets and buildings from a birds’ eye view.  Also, obviously, Intel makes integrated circuits, and a circuit layout design also tends to look similar to a city from above, so that was the basic inspiration for this painting.

Turns out, I never really got a good picture of it before giving it to her, but this is the best I have.
