I painted this for someone who commissioned a piece from me. However, after delivery, I never received any commission, monetary or verbal.
This piece took me along time to complete, but I really liked how it came out.
I diluted the acrylic paint enough that it would run freely but also would create an opaque layer. After tracing out a small circle, I then used books of varying heights under the edges of the canvas to gradually rotate the canvas by ~7 degrees, each time using an eye dropper to drip paint down the canvas, letting gravity do the painting work for me. I like that all the details of the final product were produced from gravity, friction, and viscosity.
